The first-ever Finance Trust Bank Women Super League monthly awards ceremony was held on Tuesday morning at the Finance Trust Bank offices in Kampala, celebrating the standout performances of October.
Defending champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies were honored for their exceptional start to the 2024/25 season with Kiyingi Ayub Khalifa awarded Coach of the Month, while goalkeeper Nambuya Josephine took home the award of Player of the Month.
Khalifa’s squad showcased an impressive run, winning all four of their matches in October and maintaining a clean sheet throughout.

The team’s victories included two 3-0 victories against Rines SS and Wakiso Hills plus other 1-0’s over She Maroons and Makerere University WFC.
Nambuya excelled in her category, outshining her teammate Agnes Nabukenya and Angel Kigongo from Uganda Martyrs.

In the coaching category, Khalifa prevailed over Amus College’s Faridah Bulega and Lady Doves’ Meddy Nyanzi.
Both Khalifa and Nambuya were awarded plaques along with a cash prize of UGX 500,000 each for their remarkable achievements.
The ceremony was graced by representatives from FUFA, including the third Vice President Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and competitions director Hajat Aisha Nalule, highlighting the growing recognition and support for women’s football in Uganda.
