Matchday 17 of the Futsal Super League delivered major drama at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday, April 4th, 2025, with title contenders Park FC suffering a shock defeat to Kabowa Dream Team, opening the door for Mengo City to climb to the summit of the table.
Defending champions Park FC were stunned 2-1 by a spirited Kabowa side, ending their 11-match unbeaten run.

Victor Kazibwe struck in the first half before Carlos Kaddu doubled the lead shortly after the break. Although Shafick Mulangira pulled one back for Park, it was too little too late.
This defeat not only marked Park’s second loss of the season but also cost them the top spot in the league, one they had held for most of the campaign.
Seizing the opportunity, Mengo City delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Lubaga Grameen in the late fixture.

Captain Anthony Male led by example, netting a late brace to seal the win after early goals from AbdulKarim Tebela and Samuel Omara.
The win took Mengo to 42 points, one ahead of Park, putting them at the top of the table for the first time this season.
Elsewhere, Kisenyi FC were awarded free points after Busunju Sparks failed to show up for the third consecutive time.
Edgar’s Youth Programme, fresh from sweeping the Coach and Player of the Month accolades through Adam Masembe and Brian Olwa respectively were brought back down to earth after a heavy 7-2 loss to QC Mbarara.
Franklin Tamale, Julius Kabagambe, and Kenneth Majara each scored twice, while Gilbran Nduhukire added the seventh.
Meanwhile, Crown Lubiri returned to winning ways with a narrow 2-1 victory over Nansana Aska and Kabuusu Clouds impressed in a 6-3 win over Kisugu FC, with standout performances from Tony Ssemwogerere.
