As November draws to a close, excitement rises across Uganda’s cricket circles.

The BATBALL Program returns for its much-awaited second season, with the BATBALL X Jinja T10 roaring to life from 27–30 November 2025 at the Jinja SSS Cricket Oval.

Co-hosted by Batball Uganda Limited and the Jinja Association of Cricket Clubs (JACC), the tournament signals a fresh, action-packed chapter for the program.

Four dynamic U-22 sides will lock horns in the fast-paced T10 format, continuing Batball’s mission to sharpen Uganda’s next generation for high-pressure, globally televised cricket.

Inspired by the debut edition in 2023—where the Central Rhinos outlasted Rwanda’s Emerging Team—players arrive eager to build on the momentum that saw sixteen youngsters graduate to BATBALL MAXX, the international franchise tournament streamed worldwide in early 2025.

BATBALL Uganda CEO Aakarshit Madaan expressed optimism for the new season, noting Cricket Uganda’s unwavering support.

He highlighted that extending eligibility to U-22 opens the door for university athletes, A-team prospects, and rising talents to earn crucial exposure.

“Together with Cricket Uganda, we’re creating a stronger bridge between youth and senior cricket,”

he said, emphasizing readiness for global stages.

This year’s cast features a refreshed quartet—Leopards, Bulls, Elephants, and Rhinos—all set for a fierce double round-robin battle.

Each team will face the others twice before advancing to the semi-finals, a third-place clash, and the grand finale.

Over four electrifying days, 16 matches will be streamed live around the world.

With 14-man squads supported by dedicated coaches and managers, the tournament draws heavily from standout performers at the 2025 Boys Schools Cricket Week and Cricket Uganda’s broader development pipeline.

Development Manager Davis Turinawe praised the U-22 expansion as a crucial step for bridging school cricket and senior levels.

Following the Jinja showdown, the season will continue with the BATBALL MAXX Qualifier and culminate in the flagship BATBALL MAXX tournament—promising even more thrills ahead.
