Jane Asinde: Gazelles Captain joins Club in China

Uganda Women s National Basketball team, Gazelles captain Jane Asinde completes a move to Henan Pheonix in China.

The side brought in Asinde to boast their squad after having a poor run in their previous League campaign.

At the closing bit of last season (Playoffs) Asinde returned to prepare and play for JkL Lady Dolphins for a short three months stint.

The experienced forward then arriving from USA based UTEP women’s basketball team helped JKL defend their league title on Sunday night after a game six win that put series against UCU to bed with a 4-2 lead, a fourth championship in the club’s history.

Asinde leaves behind two Ugandan players at UTEP, Abby Priscilla and Mary Moses Amaniyo.
