Vipers SC, the reigning Uganda Premier League champions, have confirmed the late addition of striker Isaac Ogwang to their travelling squad for the CAF Champions League preliminary round fixture against South African side African Stars.
The highly anticipated first-leg encounter is set for Friday, 20th September at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, while the return leg will take place between 26th and 28th September at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Initially omitted from the 21-man squad, Ogwang has now been drafted in to bolster the attacking options as the Venoms seek a crucial result away from home. The club’s decision to include the young forward underscores their determination to gain an edge in this tough away fixture.
Ogwang’s inclusion brings the total number of forwards in the squad to six, joining the likes of Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa, Gusto Mulongo, Mark Yallah, and Odil Chukwuma.
