Ilyas Omran Named Ssaka Bulk Hauliers betPawa FSL Player of the Month After Scoring Spree in April

Kisenyi FC pivot Ilyas Omran has been named the Ssaka Bulk Hauliers Player of the Month for April 2025 after a prolific run of form in the betPawa Futsal Super League.

The youngster scored an astonishing 12 goals in just four matches during April, including a six-goal masterclass against Crown Lubiri and another five against Kabuusu Cloud, cementing his place as the league’s top scorer with 36 goals.

Omran’s performances earned him 46.4% of the combined public and technical panel vote, edging out Mengo City’s Abdulkarim Tebera (36.4%) and Kabowa Dream Team’s Victor Kazibwe (17.2%).

Voting Breakdown

The award is decided using a hybrid system—40% fan vote and 60% technical panel vote.

In the public vote which accounted to 40%, Tebera led with 18.4%, followed closely by Kazibwe with 17.2%. Omran picked up 4.4% of votes.

However, the technical panel gave Omran a commanding lead—he received 7 of 10 possible votes (42%), far ahead of Tebera’s 18% and Kazibwe’s 0%.

Recognition for Consistency

Omran becomes the sixth different winner of the monthly award this season, following in the footsteps of:

  • Brian Olwa (Edgars Youth Programme) – March 2025
  • Waleed Bashir (Kisenyi FC) – February 2025
  • Samuel Omara (Mengo City) – January 2025
  • Abasi Muluya (Park FC) – December 2024
  • Gaddafi Bazanyanengo (Kabuusu Cloud) – November 2024

Kisenyi’s Second Star

This is the second time a Kisenyi FC player has claimed the honour this season, following Waleed Bashir’s February win.

Elsewhere, Mengo City Head Coach Abdullahi AbdulFatah won the Luka Pharmacy Coach of the Month Award for a third time this season after his impressive guidance in April where he helped his side win all four games
