ICC T20 Regional World Cup Qualifiers: Mahatlane confirms Cricket Cranes contingent to Rwanda

Head Coach Laurence Mahatlane has confirmed Uganda Cricket Cranes traveling contingent to Rwanda for Africa Men’s T20 Regional World Cup Qualifiers this month.

The regional qualifiers will take place between October 14th- 23rd in Kigali at two separate cricket ovals.

Captain Brian Masaba misses out of the final squad as he is still nursing any injury he sustained in the Pearl of Africa Tri-series in Entebbe last month.

While, fast bowler Richard Agamire makes a return to the squad for the first time since December 2019.

Youngster simon Ssesazi and former U-19 captain Frank Akankwasa have also been included.

Uganda is pitted in group A with Malawi, Ghana, Lesotho, Rwanda, Eswatini and Sychelles and in order to qualify to the next round, they must finish top of the group.

The 2022 T20 World Cup will take place between October and November 2022 in Australia.
