ICC CWC Challenge League B: Uganda – Hong Kong game in Lugogo washed out

Cricket Cranes first round- third ICC CWC Challenge League B game against Hong Kong was washed out on the Afternoon of Sunday 10th November at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

This was after the Match was Abandoned in the second innings due to heavy downpour that affected the fitness of the playing ground.

By the time it was abandoned, Uganda  had set 291/9 (50.0) in the first innings for Hong Kong, China to chase with target of 292

After just 15.2 Overs the action was indefinitely stopped while Hong Kong had posted 72/3.

Since both teams had not yet played 20 Overs for a DLS review, Uganda and Hong Kong each got a point since the game was washed out.

On Monday 11th November 2024, Cricket Cranes just like all the other teams will have a break and games will return on Tuesday 12th November 2024 with Italy taking on Bahrain in Lugogo and Tanzania facing Hong Kong, China in Entebbe.

Current standings

Uganda will return to the crease on Wednesday 13th November 2024 against Italy at the Entebbe Lakeside Oval.
