Uganda Cranes had their first training on Monday ahead of the Africa Cup of nations qualifier against South Africa on Friday 15th at the the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Head Coach Paul Put expressed his satisfaction with his Players’ performance so far noting that they’ve displayed a positive mentality;
“The first training is always difficult, we had players who had played games the day before and others had up to 9hour flights.”
He however identified the difficulty of making judgements in the first training;
“From what I saw today at least they had the will they have been performing well.”
The Cranes walk onto the pitch in Namboole on Friday unbeaten in all the four games played so far and only needing a point to seal their spot at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
They currently sit top of group K with 10 points, followed by Friday’s opponents Bafana Bafana who are on 8 and a win in Namboole will confirm their qualification.
