Hillary Mukundane leaves Mbarara City

Mbarara City skipper Hillary Mukundane has left the club.

This was confirmed by the player on his official twitter handle @mukundaneH16 on Sunday night.

Mukundane started club football at Kamoma FC in the Western Regional League in 2015, before crossing to Ntoda FC in 2016.

He joined Mbarara City for the 2016/17 season in the FUFA Big League, a side he helped gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League after knocking out Synergy FC 2-1 in the playoff final at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.

He has been with the club since then and has been one of the long serving players and integral figure in the Ankole Lions squad. In almost 5 seasons at the club, Mukundane has netted 10 times, with one coming this season against Onduparaka in a 3-1 victory.

He leaves Mbarara City sitting 12th on the Uganda Premier League with 15 points in 15 games.
