The FUFA Women Super League returns with the rest of Match day 13 – fixtures, following the successful completion of the first game between She Maroons FC and Olila HS which ended in stalemate on Monday.

On Wednesday 4th May 2022, we have got a couple of games to be played on the different grounds but we shall shed more light on the biggest game of the day.

This will be a top of the table clash between Uganda Martyrs WFC and Kampala Queens at St. Gerald’s Stadium, Lubaga.

Second placed Kampala Queens will make a short trip to Lubaga to face Uganda Martyrs High School who are third on the log with 23 points, 2 below the visitors as they continue to keep their chase on She Corporate who are top of the Log.

Their game against Kawempe Muslim prior to this fixture where they won 4-3 away from home might have pointed to challenges especially ineffectiveness to defend their goal however much they got the  result they needed.

Speaking to their head coach Hamuza Lutalo, he came out to emphasize that football is enjoyable because of goals.

We have prepared very well to go and play Uganda Martyrs, we are now ahead of them by two points, we want to see that we can win against them, so that we can leave gap between them and us as we continue to chase down the Log Leader, What I think tomorrow we shall get a win.

About their previous game against Kawempe Muslim ;

Football is enjoyable because of goals because those who come to watch, come because of goals so that’s why in the children’s games they say that if you score one goal, you are given two but in this league we have tried so much to better our defending and I still don’t think the way we conceded in the Kawempe game will  be recycled tomorrow I hope to solidify our defense more.

Talking about the Uganda Martyrs.

Uganda Martyrs is a good team with good players but for us we are only looking for a win from tomorrow’s game. A win will get us to compete favourably for this season’s trophy.

The Queens meet Uganda Martyrs who slipped in their last outing, failing to win at home drawing 2-2 with She Corporate.

With three points behind She Corporate, the school side will hope to seize this opportunity to go level on points with the runaway leaders and also better their result in the reverse fixture.

Uganda Martyrs will be boosted by the inclusion of Daisy Nakaziro in their squad after she left Masindi side Lady Doves by mutual consent. The looks to compete with Sharon in between the posts for Lubaga side.

Both teams are still in the title race with Log leaders She Corporate respectively with 26, 25 and 23 points respectively in their 12 games played this season, we will be looking forward to a great game of football on Wednesday.

Last result.

Uganda Martyrs drew their last game with Log leaders She Corporate 2-2 at home while Kampala Queens won their previous game away at Kawempe Muslim 4-3.

What would a win mean.

A win for Uganda Martyrs would take them to second place on 26 points level with the table leaders while a win for Kampala Queens would take them top of the Log on 28 points. This is all other factors go in their favor.

Team news.

Uganda Martyrs High School welcome Daizy Nakaziro who has been given a go head to feature for for the Lubaga side, the rest of the team is available for selection.

For Kampala Queens, will be without Harriet Nakuuba and Dorcus Nabuufu who will once again need a late fitness test.

In the other games, we shall see red zoned Lady Doves play host to League leaders She Corporate at the Katushabe Grounds in Masindi, UCU Lady Cardinals will play FC Tooro Queens at the UCU grounds in Mukono and Rines SS WFC will host a bruised Kawempe Muslim side at the Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso
