Defending Champions Park FC passes the first huddle on the way to retain the Futsal Uganda Cup.
Park FC started their Futsal Uganda Cup title defence by edging Edgars Youth Programme 5-2 in match played at Old Kampala Futsal Aren.
Captain Shafiq Mulangira was on target twice with Joshua Aziku, Abasi Junior Muluya, and Frank Nsereko completing the score ya that sent Park FC in quarterfinals.
On other side Atendele Bob and Eze Kombi found consolation goals for Edgars Youth Programme.
On the same night Kisenyi FC is so far the most sparkling side at the round of 16 after putting 9-0 before Nansana Aska academy.
Ilyas Alalous Omran was the was the major by netting five goals, while Marvin Ategeka, Shafiq Dirir, Ivan Alioni, and new comer Bashir Warid all registered a goal to their names.
Meanwhile Fiyore SC, and First Touch Sports Lubaga Grameen youth shocked Kusugu to assure their slots in the 2024/25 Futsal Uganda Cup quarterfinals.
Debutants Fiyore SC after passing through preliminary Rounds, they continued with their impressive run defeating Lubaga Grameen Youth 8-2.
Abdiwali Ali fired the new side with four goals as Abdihamid Ahmed, Abdiwali Halane, Awale Abshir, and Fiyore Ahmed.
For Grameen Youth’s Eric Buyondo and Sulaiman Yakubu managed to score was on target providing consolations.
First Touch Sports managed a right back to overcome Kisugu FC 4-2.
Shukran Kakande netted twice to put Kisugu in lead on two accasions but First Touch was on immediate reaction through Denis Muwaga and Denis Kaweesa.
After the had fight through half time, Kaweesa managed to put his sind In lead for the first at the early stage of the second half and later he completed a hat trick as Kusugu getting helpless on the game.
All the four teams secured places in the quarterfinals waiting for the other four from next game of the last 16 which shall come on 25 October 2024 at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.
