Futsal Super league: Mengo City, Crown Lubiri share the spoils

Friday evening at Old Kampala Futsal arena  Mengo City and Crown Lubiri shared spoils in a 2 all draw in the Futsal Super League.
Mengo City came into this game after bagging eight (8) wins on the bounce, facing a Crown Lubiri side who were eyeing their first point in two games.
The game kicked off in style with Mengo City seemingly to have an edge with Crown’s goalie Abukar Abdirizak making big saves keeping thus keeping his side in the game.
After overcoming a testing start, Crown grew into the game, getting chances twice on Mengo’s goal through Ahmed Abdinasir but both Samuel Omara and Anthony Male managed to rescue their side on both occasions.
The results kept Mengo City in second place on the log despite falling more 2 points behind Park FC who led the log with two points before matchday 11.
The Match-day climaxes the league first round left with Mengo City 4 points behind  after Park FC who won a clash over QC Mbarara with a stunning 4-0 thanks to Michael Abura’s brace plus other goals from Derrick Walugembe and Joshua Aziku in the absence of league top scorer  Abasi Muluya Junior.
The win takes Park to 30 points out of the possible 33 with the nearest chesser on the log being Mengo City on 26 points.
On same day, Kabowa dream team’s Victor Kazibwe shone with a poker against Lubaga Grameen in a game which ended 9-0, other goals came from Swabur Mugenyi who netted a hat trick while Carlos Kaddu scored the other goal.
Other games played on the evening saw Nansana Aska attain a 6-4 victory over Kabuusu clouds, Kisugu FC hammering Lubaga Grameen 8-0
For Edgar’s youth Programme, they defeated Kisenyi FC to collect their second consecutive win of the season, following that against Lubaga Grameen last week.
