It will be a top of the table clash as She Corporates battle Kampala Queens in the FUFA Women Super league game at IUIU in Kabojja on Saturday afternoon.
In the last encounter between the two sides, it was the Nakawa- based She Corporate that went on to win the tie 4-0 but FUFA later went on to cancel the 2019/2020 FUFA Women Super League season before finish due to COVID-19.
A lot has changed between the two teams since, first the two coaches who were in charge; Faridah Bulega for The Queens and Ali Zzinda for the She Corporate are no longer at the respective clubs and Hamuza Lutalo and Yusuf Issa Hassan has come in for the respective sides.
Talking about the players, both sides have lost players with She Corporate releasing two of the goal scorers in the previous meeting, that is Aisha Mbajja Namubiru and Dorcus Namukisa. The other players that have left the Sharks include goalkeeper Vanessa Karungi, defender Bridget Nabisaalu and Wilmer Nantumbwe among others.
The Queens on the other side have lost former skipper Fauzia Najjemba who is currently at BIIK Shymkent in Kazakhstan and goalkeeper Lydia Adubango.
This season, the nakawa based side are unbeaten and are five points above Kampala Queens and victory on Saturday will not only be a huge boost in their search for the first league title but also consolidate grip at pole position.
The hosts will hope the performance of Margaret Kunihira who is their best player so far will once again come on show against a tricky She Corporate side that has conceded just twice this season and also having star players in Ronah Regina Nantege and Danielita Favour Nambatya
Kunihira has scored five goals this season and has ably filled the void left by Najjemba who was the main source of goals for Kampala Queens.
