FUFA suspends Riticia Nabbosa for slapping teammate

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has suspended Lady doves FC Captain Riticia Nabbosa from the next three FUFA Women Super League Matches due to unsporting behavior towards her teammate.

Nabbosa slapped her teammate, goalkeeper Agatha Agnes Adongo during their 2-1 defeat to She Corporate on Saturday 26th February 2022 at MUBS Arena in Nakawa.

According to FUFA, She was found guilty of breaching Article 31(2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules and Regulations.

The Crested Cranes midfielder was frustrated after her team conceded a second and winning goal from Phiona Nabbumba’s free kick with 15 minutes left on the clock. This led to her the young goalkeeper.

After the game, the Lady doves captain apologized for the incident and was suspended for seven days by her club effective of Sunday 28th February.

With 3 losses and 1 draw out of four games, Lady Doves have had a poor start to this season and currently sit bottom of the FUFA Women Super League table with only one point.

They play Uganda Matyrs Lubaga next but will be without their two stars in the suspended Ritticia Nabbosa and Fauzila Ikwaput who scored their first and only goal in that game (against She Corporates).
