FUFA Big League to kick-off on 12th November

The 2021/22 StarTimes FUFA Big League will kick-off on Friday 12th November 2021.

This was confirmed in a letter released by FUFA on Tuesday  to StarTimes FUFA Big League clubs about the extension of the kickoff date due to failure of some clubs to meet the minimum club licensing requirements for the 2021/22 season.

According to FUFA, only three clubs( Maroons, Nyamityobora and Calvary FC) out of 12 have fullied the criteria A requirements.

The rest have missing mandatory requirements and have been given till Monday 25th October 2021 to fulfill the criteria A requirements. They have also been fined 500,000/= for failure to comply on time and this will be deducted from the StarTimes sponsorship package.

FUFA has also confirmed that the Secretariat will not extend the kickoff date and only club will full licensing requirements will be considered in the 2021l22 season fixtures.

It should be noted that this season’s Big league will br played in a single group on home and away basis.
