A 26-player Kenya Legend contingent arrived yesterday in Uganda ahead of their friendly matches against the hosts, Uganda Legends.

The first game will be held on Wednesday 26th January (Today) in Maya Forrest Resort while the second game will take place at Barifa Stadium on  Saturday, 29th January 2022.

The contingent arrived at 1pm and  were housed at Jevine Hotel in Lubaga last night.

The coaches and players from each side held a joint press conference at Jevine Hotel where they revealed the best moments of their rivalry during their playing times at the National team.

Musa Otieno, the Kenyan Legends head coach and former Kenya National team captain emphasized that this is no friendly game, it’s a war because at any level whenever Uganda meets Kenya in football, “it’s not a joke”

“This is great for us to meet again and I remember the days when we used to play against Uganda it’s was like a war.” said Musa before adding;

“So we have not traveled from Nairobi to Uganda for just a friendly we have come for a war.”

The former Harambe Stars assistant Coach revealed that the greatest game between Uganda he can’t forget is when Kenya drew Uganda at Namboole and denied them qualifying the AFCON.

“We have prepared well and my players have in good conditions. We are friends but like Musa stated Kenya against Uganda is a war but our aim is to win the game and we are looking forward to it.” Uganda Legend coach Kefa Kisala said during the presser.

George Ssimwogerere, the Vice President of the Fraternity of Legendary Football Players and Fans Uganda Limited said that they came up with this Association to see that they come together as former players and provide a safe landing for those to retire.

Ntale Daniel, the General Secretary gave how the program will run through out the week.
