The Finance Trust Women Super League has revealed its nominees for the prestigious Coach and Player of the Month awards for December 2024, with Amus College’s Faridah Bulega making her mark once again.
This is the third time the accomplished coach has been nominated for the award, showcasing her consistency and the growing success of her team.
The Amus College Head Coach, earned a spot among the Coach of the Month nominees after her side secured two impressive wins in the month of December.
Bulega’s tactical prowess and leadership saw new League entrants Amus College perform at their best in third with 21 points, four (4) off the top -continuing their strong season campaign.
This nomination further cements her reputation as one of the league’s most skilled and experienced coaches.
With this being her third nomination for the award, and she has already won the coveted Coach of the Month title once in the past two Finance Trust Awards ceremonies.

The competition for the Coach of the Month award is fierce, with Bulega contending against two other highly respected figures in the league.
Asefa Hailegabreal of Kampala Queens also made the list after leading his team to an unbeaten record in December, winning three of their four matches and drawing once.
Kampala Queens are currently at the top of the league table, and Hailegabreal’s success in December makes him a strong contender for the accolade.
Fred Alinaitwe of Lady Doves completes the list of nominees, having steered his team to three wins and one loss in December, accumulating 9 points in the process.
His team’s performance highlights his capability as a coach, and his nomination is well-deserved.
For Bulega, this recognition is an affirmation of her continuous growth as a coach and the effort she invests in making Amus College a competitive force in women’s football.
On the player’s side, League top scorer Resty Kobusobozi will be against Kampala Queens duo in Captain Shamirah Nalugya and Shamusa Najjuma.
Kobusobozi netted Seven (7) times in December while for Nalugya and Najjuma, each twice found the back of the net
As the awards ceremony draws near, the anticipation continues to build.
The winners in each category will receive a cash prize of 500,000 Ugandan shillings, courtesy of Finance Trust Bank.
The recognition is a powerful motivator for coaches and players, inspiring them to continue delivering outstanding performances in the second round of the league.
