Diaspora; Wadri on target as Mugabi assists – how Ugandan professionals abroad fared over the weekend

A couple of Ugandan professional players abroad were in action over the weekend for their respective sides around the globe.Most of them got ample playing time while a few remained unused on the bench.

Here is how they fared for their respective sides.

Starting off in England, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru came on in the latter minutes of the game for Jordan Hugill as Cardiff United secured a 2-1 victory over Reading in the SkyBet English Championship.

In the English league one, Jordan Obita was an unused substitute as Wycombe Wanderers drew 1-all with Gillingham.

In the National league, Ibra Sekajja played 87 minutes as Dulwich Harlmet lost 2-0 to Oxford City.

In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi featured fulltime and provided an assist as Motherwell drew 2-all with Livingstone in the Scottish Premiership.

In Israel, Timothy Awanyi featured full-time and helped Ashdod SC claim a 1-0 victory over Maccabi Petach Tikva.

Fahad Bayo was a second half substitute for Moura Vierira as his side Bnei Sacknin drew 1-all with Maccabi Netanya.

Luwagga Kizito was unused as Hapoel Nof Hagalil lost 2-0 to Beitar Jerusalem.

In Denmark, Robert Kakeeto featured full-time for Skive FC as they lost 3-1 to Hellerup IK in Danish Division One.

Moses Opondo was an early second half substitute as AS Horsen drew goalless with Fredericia.

In Sweden, David Owori was unused as his side Utsiktens claimed a 3-2 victory over IF Brommpojkarna in the Swedish Superettan.

Viola Nambi was absent as Vaxjo DFF defeated Team TG FF 4-0 in women’s league.

In USA, Edward Kizza was out for Memphis 901 as they lost 3-1 t Chattanooga in the USL.

In South Africa, Denis Onyango was absent as Sundowns defeated Summer field Dynamos 5-0 in the NedBank Cup.

Moses Waiswa was unused as SuperSports United lost 3-2 to TTM.

In Tanzania, Taddeo Lwanga started for Simba SC as they secured a 1-0 victory over Coastal Union in the NBC Tanzanian Premiership.

Khalid Aucho featured for Young Africans as they drew 1-all with Geita Gold.

In Kenya, Bashir Ssekagya started in goal for Wazito United as they lost 2-1 to AFC Leopards in the FKF Premier league.

William Wadri was on target to help his side, Bandari FC secure a 2-1 victory over Nzoia Sugar. Umar Kasumba also started the game for Bandari.

Peter Lwasa started for Gor Mahia as they drew goalless with Tusker FC.

In Zambia, Hashim Ssempala featured for Kabwe Warriors as they defeated Nkwazi 2-0.

In Czech Republic, Isaac Muleme played fulltime and was also booked in the 30th minute as his Zizkov side lost 3-0 at home to Brno in the second division.
