It was a mixed weekend for Ugandan professional players abroad across the globe. Some got valuable playing time while others were unused by the various teams.
Here is how they fared over the weekend.
Starting off in England, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru was a second half as his side Cardiff City came from a goal down to secure a 2- 1victory over QPR in the English Championship.
In the Football league one, Jordan Obita featured full-time for Wycombe Wanderers as they defeated Crewe Town 3-1.
Ibra Sekajja was a second half substitute as his side, Dulwich Hamlet lost 2-1 to Hampton and Richmond in the English National League.
In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi was rested on the bench as Motherwell drew 1-all with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.
In Ireland, Mevlyn Lorezen was an unused substitute as Sligo Rovers drew goalless with Dundalk in the League of National Ireland.
In Germany, Herbert Bockhorn was an unused substitute as VFL Bochum defeated Furth 2-0 in the Germany Bundesliga.
In Denmark, Moses Opondo was absent as his side Horsens lost 1-0 to Helsingor in the Danish 1st Division.
In USA, Mustafa Kizza featured for New York Red Bulls II as a trialist as they defeated Bethlehem Steels 3-1 in a friendly game. Steven Sserwadda also featured for Red Bulls.
Michael Azira was absent as New Mexico defeated Northern Colorado FC 2-0.
In the Major League Soccer, Edward Kizza was absent as New England Revolutions defeated FC Dallas 1-0.
In Israel, Timothy Awanyi played 62 minutes as his side, Ashdod SC lost 4-3 to Maccabi Petach Tikya in the Israeli Premiership.
Still in Israeli, Fahad Bayo and Kizito Luwagga were unused substitutes for Bnei Sackhnin and Hapoel Nof Hagalil respectively in their game. Bneisakhnin won 1-0 while Hagalil drew 1-all with Macabi Haifa.
In Rwanda, Musa Esenu featured for Rayon Sports as they drew 1-1 with Etoile de 1’Est in the Rwandese National Football league.
In Zambia, Hashim Sempala featured full-time as Kabwe Warriors drew 1-1 with Forrest Rangers in the Zambian MTN Super League.
Still in Zambian MTN Super league, Yasin Mugabi was an unused substitute as Red Arrows secured a 3-1 victory over Ronald Olaki and Keziron Kizito’s Buildcon FC. Keziron started the game while Olaki was a second half sub.
In Kenya, William Wadri featured for Bandari United as they drew 2-all with AFC Leopards in the Kenyan Premier League.
Peter Lwasa featured for 76 minutes as Gor Mahia claimed a 2-1 victory over Ulinzi United.
In Tanzania, Brian Mululi featured full-time as Mtibwa Sugar drew goalless with Tanzania Prison in the NBC Premier League. Boban Ziritunsa started on bench.
Still in Tanzania, Khalid Aucho was out as Young Africans defeated Geita Gold FC 1- 0 while Taddeo Lwaga also missed Simba’s 3-0 victory over Biashara United.
In South Africa, Moses Waiswa was an unused substitute as Supersports United defeated AmaZulu 2-0 in the DSTV Premiership.
Still in DSTV Premiership, Isima Watenga was also unused in Chippa United’s 2-1 victory over Golden Arrows while Denis Onyango didn’t make it to the match day squad as Mamelodi Sundowns suffered a 2-1 loss to Maritzburg United.
In Sweden, Viola Nambi was out as Vaxjo DFF lost 4-1 to Rosengard in Svenska Cup, while in the same cup, Ritah Kivumbi came on in the 86th minute for Svea Rehnberg as her side, Mallbacken lost 2-1 to Eskilstuna.
