All eyes will be on the Old Kampala Futsal Arena this Friday, 23 May 2025, as Crown Lubiri and Kisenyi FC face off in the highly anticipated final of the Futsal Super League Frenzy Edition. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
For Crown Lubiri, this final presents a last shot at silverware in what has been a rollercoaster season. They started strongly but have struggled for consistency since suffering their first loss back in January.
Despite an erratic campaign, Crown Lubiri managed to battle their way into the final, edging out QC Mbarara in a tough semifinal.
On the other hand, Kisenyi FC have been in outstanding form throughout the Frenzy Edition, winning three matches and drawing one.
Their semifinal performance was particularly impressive, dispatching in-form Mengo City with a commanding 5-1 victory.
The final promises to be an exciting showdown, especially with the spotlight on the Somali players expected to dominate proceedings. Crown Lubiri fields a squad largely composed of Somali talent, with Joseph Babigumira “JOJO” standing out as the only Ugandan.
Kisenyi FC, however, boast a more balanced lineup that blends local stars like Justus Ssempijja, Abdul Shakur Nsereko, and Ibrahim Azabo with their own Somali standouts.
Before the main event, Mengo City will take on QC Mbarara in the third-place playoff at 4:00 PM.
