Uganda put four past Burundi to finish top of Group A on Sunday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The Crested cranes conceded early in the game through former Gafford Ladies striker Nahimana’s goal after a Riticia Nabossa mistake, minutes later Uganda managed to come back through Fazila Ikwaput to make the scoreline level at half time.
In the second stanza, substitutes Shamirah Nalugya and Sandra Nabweteme made the difference when Shamirah when she struck home from a distance to send Uganda into the lead two minutes after getting on the pitch.
After further changes, with Margaret Kunihira replacing Lillian Mutuuzo and Zaina Nandede replacing Ikwaput, Kunihira produced the assist for Nabweteme goal in with 11 minutes left on the clock.
The striker later sealed it with a beautiful finish in stoppage time.
Uganda tops Group A with nine points with Burundi in second place on 6 points while Rwanda and Djibouti end with 3 and 0 points respectively.
