CHAN 2024 Draw: Two-time winners DR Congo, Morocco placed in same group as Co host Kenya

Uganda Cranes were placed in Group C in the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Draw held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Kenya Nairobi on Wednesday.

With three Football Legends Hassan Wasswa, McDonald Mariga and Mrisho Ngasa from the respective Co-hosts in cruise control; Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania were put in different groups.

Kenya were placed in Group A which many of the revealers termed as the group of death with two time winners Morocco (2018, 2020) and DR Congo (2009, 2016).

On the other side, Group C where Uganda lies is incomplete awaiting two nations to fill it up .

The groups are as follows;

Group A

1. Morocco
2. Angola
3. DR Congo
4. Zambia.

Group B

1. Tanzania
2. Madagascar
3. Mauritania
4. Burkina Faso
5. Central African Republic.

Group C

1. Uganda
2. Niger
3. Guinea
4. Q2
5. Q1.

Group D

1. Senegal
2. Congo Brazzaville
3. North Sudan
4. Nigeria.

The CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be held in August 2025.
