The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the change of dates for the Total 2020 Africa Nations Championship from January to April.
This was approved in a Caf Executive Committee yesterday in Cairo and chaired by Caf boss Ahmad Ahmad.
The tournament to be held in Cameroon will be hosted between April 4th and 25th, 2020.
The Confederation also picked 4 cities to host the competition and these include Mfandena (Yaounde Omnisport Stadium), Japoma (Douala), Bepanda (Douala) and Limbe-Buea.
Group A will be in Japoma Douala, group B and C will be in Yaoundé Mfandena and Limbe Buea lastly group D will in Douala Bepanda
The following are the 16 nations that are going to take part in the CHAN 2020 tournament Cameroon (Hosts), Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, Namibia, Togo(debutants, Morocco, Zimbabwe DR Congo, Congo, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Niger and Mali.
Cameroon will host the tournament for the first time after missing out on hosting the just concluded African Cup of Nations.
