After a sensational end to last season, Mainz 05 now sit fifth in the table. Their success in Bielefeld last week was in no small part thanks to their power down the right-hand side. More than half of the Nullfünfers attacks came from the right.
This season, it is clear that Bo Svensson is trying to diversify, which has also led to more attacks through the middle of the pitch. The decisive factor, however, remains Mainz’s strong right side. They will look to continue their strong run of form against Borussia Mönchengladbach tonight.
