Buddu Ssaza has reaffirmed its commitment to excellence by retaining the same organizing committee that successfully steered the team to victory in the 2024 Airtel Masaza Cup.
The 32 member committee, led by Joseph Lutaaya will once again oversee the team’s preparations for this year’s prestigious tournament.
With Kagolo Sarah and Mujuzi Thomas Moore serving as vice chairpersons, Buddu aims to maintain its winning momentum and build on last year’s impressive performance.
The team will be managed by Zziwa Steven while Ssegawa Sotious Sebastian will handle financial matters as the treasurer.
Buddu’s decision to retain its committee comes after a triumphant 2024 campaign that saw them clinch their third Masaza Cup title.
In a thrilling final at a fully packed Namboole Stadium, Buddu secured a 1-0 victory over Kyaggwe, thanks to Mike Walaga’s well placed header in the 22nd minute, following an accurate delivery from Pius Ssebulime.
Having previously lifted the Masaza Cup in 2016 and 2021, Buddu is determined to further cement its legacy in the tournament.
By keeping an experienced and proven committee intact, the team hopes to replicate last year’s success and add a fourth title to its growing trophy cabinet.
