betPawa Futsal Super League: Kakande the hero as Lubaga Grameen broke Park’s long unbeaten run

From the beginning of last season Park FC was the only Club yet to lose a Futsal League game.

After a full year the feel changes to normal after falling to 2022-2023 champions Lubaga Grameen.

Indeed the Grameens was the right candidate to challenge Park FC despite a poor start of the new season following finishing third last season behind winner Park FC and Kisenyi FC.

Beating park 5-3 on the night of come backs was fantastic to break the 26 game unbeaten run and send the crowd on high sound with the hero’s name unsung.

In Futsal, it is normal to see high scoring games but Sahaf Kakande, the Lubaga Grameen boy in sticks refused park from free scoring.

With over 10 saves on night, denying Abaasi Muluya, not only one occasion, Michael Abura came in his time as always to kill the game but the 18 year old boy was watching every movement.

Losing doesn’t mean that Park FC didn’t appear, they were in the game for entire period but the Senior student at Vienna high School was always in their way.

Lubaga Grameen bounced back from early upset when Frank Ssebatta connected into his own net, Park FC captain Shafick Mulangira doubled to have an early 2-0 lead.

From there on Lubaga Grameen launched a come back inspired by Frank Ssebatta and Captain Bruno Ssegirinya netted late in the first stanza to go into break at 2-2.

Few minutes into the second half Andrew Kayanga lifted Grameen to lead for the first time but things was not settled yet as Abasi Muluya quickly levelled the score.

With five minutes left, Nasser Semakula helped Grameen regain their lead Following a superb display from Mansoor Kintu to set up the goal befor Kintu himself sealing the win for Grameen two minutes before the final whistle.

Between the reported moments was no any interval but it was all on Grameen goal making a show from Kakande while on Park FC side goalie Brian Drileba made only 3 saves.
