betPawa has contributed UGX 10 million towards the Corporate Run 2025, reaffirming its commitment to community empowerment through sport and healthcare.
The second edition of the Corporate Run will take place on 12th October 2025 at NEC FC Grounds in Bugolobi under the theme “Run for Expectant Mothers.” Organized by the Corporate Games in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the event is designed to promote fitness, corporate networking, and awareness about non-communicable diseases, while directly supporting maternal healthcare.
Proceeds from the run will be channeled towards purchasing mama kits, each valued at UGX 50,000, for underserved areas across Uganda. The initiative comes at a crucial time, with national health statistics revealing that 16 women die every day from pregnancy-related complications.
Speaking during the sponsorship announcement, Borah Ndanyungu, betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing & CSR, emphasized the company’s dedication to safeguarding mothers:
At betPawa, we believe no woman should lose her life while giving life. By supporting this initiative, we are proud to stand alongside thousands of Ugandans to ensure expectant mothers receive the care and dignity they deserve. This is what community empowerment through sport is all about.
The cheque was officially handed over by Allan Tumushabe, betPawa’s license partner, who added:

We’re proud to support the Corporate Run because it proves that when we come together, whether on the track or off it, we can make a real difference.
This marks the second year in a row that betPawa is sponsoring the Corporate Run. Beyond financial support, the company will also field a team to participate in the event.

With over 5,000 participants expected, the 2025 edition is set to be the biggest yet, reflecting a growing movement where sport not only fosters unity but also drives meaningful social change.
