Uganda climaxed the qualification campaign with 0-1 win away against Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday, 19th November
Travis Mutyaba netted Cranes only goal, ten minutes after the second half restart through a short corner started to him by Denis Omedi.
Having achieved early qualification, this meant Uganda finished their Group K games on a high with 13 points, one off leaders SouthAfrica who also won their game against South Sudan in CapeTown to make 14.
However there were several games played all around the continent were an aim of qualifying for the final tournament in Morocco where 24 teams will battle for the prestigious trophy.
Tanzania needed Simon Msuva’s 61st minute goal to edge Guinea to a qualification slot in Group H, meaning that this will be their second consecutive AFCON and fourth overall appearance.
For Mozambique, they beat Guinea Bussau 2-1 to finish second in Group I, joining group winners Mali in next year’s final tournament.
Botswana booked the final and last ticket after playing out a 1-1 draw with Group C leaders Egypt only to finish second to secure their first AFCON qualification since 2012.

The tournament in Morocco will kick off on 21st December 2025 and climax on 18th January 2026.
