2024 Masaza Cup: Kyaggwe, Buddu hold first leg advantage in semis

Kyaggwe and Buddu managed to win their first semi-final ties of the Buganda Masaza Cup final on Sunday.

Kyaggwe staged a comeback against Buweekula  to secure a 2-1 while Buddu beat Kyaddondo 1-3 away from home.

At the Bishops grounds in Mukono, the usual suspect Herbert Asiimwe had given the men from Mityana an early lead but David Mutono’s men were helped back to a comeback by Steven Nyalimu to end Buweekula’s unbeaten run.

On the other side, two time champions Buddu comfortably won 1-3 against Kyadondo away at Wankulukuku thanks to a Mike Walaga brace and Kayongo Michael.

Isaac Ssenyunja scored the only goal for the hosts which had given them a lead.

Return legs will be played on Sunday 13th October Kitovu for Buddu and Mityana for Buweekula to see who will progress to the final slated for 2nd November 2024.
