After an impressive performance in the group, is set to compete in the Round of 16 a game of the FIBA Women Afro Basketball tournament in Rwanda-Kigali.
Uganda finished second a head of 11 time Champions Senegal to get a chance to fight for a place in the Quaterfinal.
In the round of 16 Uganda will play Democratic Republic and if they win they will be able to face Rwanda who topped group A to moves straight to the Quaterfinals.
Ahead of the game against DR Congo Gazelles head coach Alberto Atuna came out to say that;

“We are happy we finished in the second spot of the toughest group behind Mali but for now we have to shift our focus to Congo.”
“Congo is a really physical team more than us but we need to draft a style and plan against them .” He concluded
“They use a rotation of seven, eight to nine players and we need to be a team, be agreesive and score from defense .” He concluded
The quarter final qualification game will be played on Tuesday.
